  • Curt Richardson

    Otter Products Founder

    Serial entrepreneur Curt Richardson was running his first successful business at the age of 21. In the following decade, he started and grew multiple ventures. Richardson created the first OtterBox waterproof case in his garage in the early ‘90s and in 1998, Otter Products was born. Richardson leads innovation and culture initiatives as founder, chairman and Chief Visionary Officer for Otter Products. Additionally, he’s co-founder and chairman of Blue Ocean Enterprises Inc. and Blue Ocean Holdings LLC. In these roles, he discovers, creates and invests in business opportunities and makes strategic investments in commercial real estate.
  • Nancy Richardson

    Nancy Richardson

    OtterCares Founder

    Nancy Richardson founded the OtterCares Foundation in 2010. As a private foundation, OtterCares seeks to inspire kids to become entrepreneurs and philanthropists through grants and programing. Nancy now focuses her time and efforts on serving the community, including a role on the Executive Council for the Colorado State University College of Health and Human Sciences, and was honored for her efforts with the Julie Penrose Award from the El Pomar Foundation.

    JC Richardson

    Chairman of the Board

    JC Richardson literally grew up in Otter Products when his parents, Curt and Nancy Richardson, founded the company in the garage of their family home. JC served in various roles throughout his early career, learning the workings of each function while he pursued his finance degree from Plymouth State University. In 2013, he cofounded Angel Armor, a ballistic armor developer for use by first responders. In 2021, he became CEO of investment firm Blue Ocean Enterprises Inc. He has served on the Otter Products board of directors since 2016 and the Old Elk Distilleries board since 2020. He rejoined Otter Products as CEO in 2022 and transitioned to the chairman of the board in 2024 after leading the company through a transition to a newly refined vision.
  • Trey Northrup

    Trey Northrup

    Chief Executive Officer

    Trey Northrup joined Otter Products as CEO in 2024. Prior to Otter Products, he served as CEO at LIXIL Americas, where he was responsible for driving business growth and fostering innovation across iconic brands such as American Standard, GROHE and DXV.  Prior to LIXIL, Trey spent nearly 20 years at Whirlpool Corporation in a variety of leadership roles, including international postings and overseeing Whirlpool’s JennAir and Commercial Laundry Businesses, fueling disruptive growth for the business.  Trey received his BS and MBA from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga completed the Global Leadership program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
